This tour is a full day excursion guaranteed to let you see, feel, and experience the very best of Costa Rica. You will enjoy a sightseeing trip like no other as you head from San Jose towards the Pacific Coast via the famous “Old Spanish Road” highway.
As you depart San Jose, you will enjoy the ride through the countryside and mountains that surround the Central Valley. Bring your camera and snap away at the lush vegetation, extensive coffee plantations and picturesque towns that you will be going through, and are so typical of Costa Rica. Along the way, you will enjoy a wonderful Costa Rican breakfast.
Your first stop will be the beautiful Tarcoles River, where you will take a boat ride to experience the beauty, water life, and migratory birds of Costa Rica. This is a picture-taking opportunity like no other.
Our next stop will be one of the most beautiful protected areas in Costa Rica, Punta Leona Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by almost 2000 acres of tropical wet forest which is characteristic of this region. You will love the beauty of its white sands and the deep blue ocean, which are particular to the Pacific area. You will have all day free to enjoy many optional activities available here such as water sports, swimming in the crystal waters of the ocean, or enjoying the hotel pools. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in one of the local restaurants.
In the afternoon you may wish to enjoy an optional 1.5 hr. guided walk throw the jungle. It is very safe, and a good opportunity to observe wildlife such as reptiles, amphibians, small animals and exotic birds.
