The Las Paz Waterfall Gardens and Nature Park is one of our very best tours. There is nothing else like it in Costa Rica. You will visit a very beautiful nature park and discover one of the world´s largest butterfly farms with thousands of butterflies soaring freely overhead. With almost 3 miles of beautiful sceneray, walking trails, river overlooks, gardens and towering waterfalls, your visit will envelope you in the majesty and beauty of Costa Rica.
There is much to see as you walk down the many trails, including the Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Gardens, Orchid Gardens, Frog Exhibit, Authentic Casita, Tica House, Trout Lake, Serpentarium, and the extraordinatry bird watching areas.
The Butterfly Observatory is the largest in the world, spanning the length of a football field and reaching heights of 50 feet. This enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid their habitat. In the midst of the park is a fascinating hummingbird garden with 24 different species of hummingbirds surrounding you; a frog pond, a serpentarium, and an orchid garden- in which stands Costa Rica´s national flower.
You will visit the ´La Casita Tipica´, a traditional house where the Costa Rican life style of over 100 years ago can still be admired. Then, after a delicious buffet lunch, you will walk along spectacular trails visiting five beautiful waterfalls including the Las Paz Waterfall, the largest and most spectacular. |
