Tourists come from all over the world to visit the spectacular Poas Volcano, one of the world´s largest geysers with an amazing crater that is over 1 mile across. Poas is an active volcano, and completely safe for viewing. From the observation area, you can look directly down into the crater and be awe-inspired by the incredible sight of nature´s work in progress.
Your tour will begin with a wonderful drive through the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica, through the lush coffee plantations and amazing flower and fern farms of the Central Valley.
Upon arriving at the Poas Volcano, you will walk a short distance through a verdant cloud forest admiring the rich tropical vegetation and animal life. The National Park has many activities and things to do and see, and you will enjoy nature at its finest.
Along the way you will see a beautiful emerald green, tropical lagoon, incredible plant life and many species of exotic birds.
