This is the granddaddy of all zip line canopy rides. Action, adventure and full adrenaline is the theme of this tour, yet it is safe and fun for everyone.
As you depart San Jose, you will enjoy the ride through the countryside and mountains that surround the Central Valley. Bring your camera and snap away at the lush vegetation, extensive coffee plantations and picturesque towns that you will be going through, and are so typical of Costa Rica.
Upon arrival at the San Lorenzo area, you will find yourself in the middle of a beautiful tropical forest reserve, surrounded by orchids, bromeliads and an abundance of ornamental plants. But now, the adventure begins. The San Lorenzo Zip line Canopy features a sliding cable which is divided into two parts, the “forest” section and the “adventure” section.
The forest section begins with small cables, so you can acquire confidence as you settle into the experience. The real adventure, is of course, the “adventure” section which has much longer cables suspended on high platforms, and yes, it will require courage to ride in this section. It is definitely action and adrenaline, packed. It is only San Lorenzo that has the longest zip line cable anywhere in Costa Rica. It is 2,460 feet long and is a thrilling ride. There are 19 platforms with a total of 8,202 feet of cable, and your day will be filled with anticipation and excitement. There are bilingual guides throughout the area, and a wonderful lunch is included. |
