Enjoy a wonderful full-day tour which is both relaxing and enjoyable, and at a very comfortable pace. In one day you will visit several of the best attractions including Poas Volcano and Cloud Forest, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, San Fernando Waterfalls, the Selva Verde Rainforest Lodge on the Caribbean Plain, and a fifth bonus of an excursion through the incredible Braulio Carrillo National Park.

Your tour begins with a wonderful drive past country towns, diary farms, towering mountains and incredible forests of Costa Rica, and stopping at beautiful Siempre Verde for a delicious traditional breakfast. Here, you will enjoy an authentic coffee farm tour and see why Costa Rica is famous for its delicious coffee..

Then, on to the famous and imposing Poas Volcano which stands 1.7 miles high and boasts a crater of over 1 mile wide. Still an active volcano, Poas is nevertheless completely safe for viewing. From the observation area, you can look directly down into the crater and be awe-inspired by the incredible sight of nature´s work in progress.

The next stop is the famous Las Paz Waterfall Gardens and Nature Park. There is nothing else like it in Costa Rica. Here you will discover one of the world´s largest butterfly farms with thousands of butterflies soaring freely overhead. With almost 3 miles of beautiful scenery, walking trails, river overlooks, gardens and towering waterfalls, you will be completely enveloped in the majesty and beauty of Costa Rica.

Next, we visit the beautiful Selva Verde Rainforest Lodge in the Caribbean Plain, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch with traditional Costa Rican fare. The tropical rainforest atmosphere is truly breathtaking.

After lunch, you will enjoy a wonderful boat ride down the Sarapiqui River passing through plantations of pineapple, Yuca and Coconut, watching for howler monkeys, sloths and toucans. Your guide will give plenty of information about the unique lifestyle of the friendly Costa Rican people living along the river.
